Serafin

The career of Dr. Dawid Serafin dates back to 2006, when he started working in the general surgery department of St. Berhard Hospital in Kamp-Litfort, Germany. Since then, he has trained at such places as the Multispecialty Hospital in Gliwice and the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic in Ruda Śląska. Since 2010, he has seen patients at the Gyncentrum Infertility Treatment Center in Katowice. During the course of his practice, in 2014, he became one of two doctors in Poland to be certified in the ability to perform the innovative technique of in vitro fertilization using Anecova capsules. At the same time, he obtains a certificate from FMF (The Fetal Medicine Foundation, to perform ultrasound examinations in pregnancy between 11-14 weeks) and a certificate from the Ultrasound Section of the Polish Gynecological Society to perform obstetrics and gynecology examinations and a Certificate to independently perform prenatal examinations from the Polish Ultrasound Society. Since 2015, he has been working with ITP as a medical coordinator and expert and instructor in the field of aesthetic gynecology, creating treatment protocols and providing training for doctors in Poland and, since 2016, around the world on the use of hyaluronic acid in reconstructive gynecology. Also in 2016, he was a lecturer at the FACE International Aesthetic Medicine Conference in the UK, where he co-founded the first session on Plastic Gynecology. In September 2016, he was invited to Cairo for the ICC Middle East Countries Conference. He received an award for conducting the country’s first ever training in minimally invasive gynecology using hyaluronic acid in the reconstruction of hypotrophic labia majora. In November 2016, he was asked by Alma Lasers (Tel Aviv), a global manufacturer of medical lasers, to give his opinion on the newly developed device and its application in plastic gynecology. At the same time, he took up the position of medical advisor, expert and international instructor with the head of the European Society of Aesthetic Gynecology Alexander Bader. Since then, he has developed his own hybrid protocol for the laser treatment of stress urinary incontinence using a CO2 laser and platelet-rich plasma. He presented his work at the monthly meeting of the Silesian Branch of the Polish Gynecological Society in Katowice, Poland. Since December 2016, he has been the only Pole to be a member of the scientific committee of the International Association for Aesthetic Gynecology and Sexual Comfort (IAAGSW). In April 2017, during his lecture at the world congress of the European Society of Aesthetic Gynecology in Madrid, he presented a proprietary surgical technique to correct labia minora hypertrophy, which reduces the number of common complications that are postoperative wound dissection. That same month, he received membership in the international Spanish Society of Plastic Gynecology. He has had the opportunity to present his proprietary surgical technique at conventions on aesthetic gynecology in Las Vegas, Orlando, London and Tokyo, among others. In May 2017, in the pages of the British magazine Aesthetics, he described the procedure for treating hypotrophy of the labia majora using hyaluronic acid. This work was the only one to be given CPD (Continuing Professional Development) status. In 2017, he and Prof. Zerbinati presented the effectiveness of treating labia minor hypotrophy using hyaluronic acid in the Journal of Biological Regulators and Homeostatic Agents. In October 2017, under the supervision of Prof. Ostrzansky, he presented his technique for performing surgery and ways to correct complications after reconstructive surgery in plastic gynecology at a lecture in Delhi, India, for which he received an honorable mention. In the same month, as a member of the scientific committee, he co-founded the first international convention of the IAAGSW society in London. In 2019, at the American Conference on Aesthetic Gynecology of the ISCG (International Society of Cosmetogynecolgy), he received the grand prize for the best aesthetic effect in the category of “labia and clitoral foreskin plasty.” The award-winning aesthetic effect was achieved using his proprietary surgical technique. A year later, at the next edition of the same conference, he received an award for the best reconstructive procedure after a failed labia minora plasty.
