Thighplasty

(Thigh Lift)

Thighs are one of those body parts that are very unforgiving when it comes to our dietary or exercising „sins”. Even when we give them a lot of attention, it is really hard to obtain a desired shape.

Thighplasty can help you achieve what has been impossible for years.

Thighplasty

(Thigh Lift)

Thighplasty involves suctioning out of fatty tissue and removing excess skin to model the shape of your thighs. A 20 cm incision is made in a location that will be invisible in the normal leg position. It is usually made in the groin along the lateral edge of the pubic hair area and then on the inner side of the thigh.

Drains are left under the skin to get rid of small amounts of blood and exudate. After the surgery, the incision will be covered with a pressure dressing. Sutures are removed after 7 – 14 days.

You may experience pain that will require oral painkillers in the first days after the procedure. Most bruising will disappear within 10 to 14 days, and swelling of varying degree usually lasts from 1 to 3 months. Physical activity should be limited for a week. During this time your thighs will regain their normal appearance.

You can resume regular physical activity, including sports, after 3 – 8 weeks. Our Comprehensive Perioperative Care programme is there to support your recovery.
