It is used for instance for treating muscle contractures, various types of tics, hyperhidrosis, and even migraines. However, it is applied most frequently to smoothen wrinkles. It lets you correct the lion’s wrinkle on the forehead, horizontal wrinkles, crow’s feet, drooping lips, gummy smile, “cellulite” effect on the chin, or neck wrinkles.

Botox blocks neuromuscular conduction, which results in “relaxation” of the muscle. A given muscle is injected several times. After a few days (from 2 to 14) it relaxes and wrinkles are smoothed. The effect lasts for 3 to 6 months. After that period, the procedure should be repeated.
